LOWER CUSTOM SHIPPING FEES!

It is understandable that there are fees and taxation involved when it comes to the topic of shipping items in and out of countries. However, I believe that the custom duty rates charge too much. I haven't ordered from abroad very often, but when I have done I have been given ridiculous charges in customs which makes me avoid ordering from abroad completely. The custom charges were so expensive, that they were actually over half the price of the product I was shipping in the first place! The actual product I was purchasing costed £200, and the custom fees were £90. £90 in customs?! This is not OK, yes there needs to be taxation fees but not this much! This is morally wrong and many of the public simply cannot afford to order from abroad due to the appalling custom rates we have today. I would like to continue ordering from abroad to get the purchases I'd like, but cannot justify paying such high custom fees which is why that has had to come to a halt. So take a stand by signing this petition with me, together to show that we are sick of the abnormally high custom rates and that they need to be lowered so that people can afford to order their products online without having to face awfully high custom rates.
