Save Race Against Multiple Sclerosis health charity from imminent closure

Race Against Multiple Sclerosis (RAMS) has been providing treatment and support for people living in Northern Ireland with Multiple Sclerosis and other incurable health conditions for more than 25 years.

Following a devastating flood in 2012, through no fault of its own, the charity is now in great financial difficulty. Unless urgent funding can be found, RAMS will be forced to close its doors by April 2015.

We are urging the Northern Ireland government to invest in this exceptional charity so that it can continue to provide a service for the 550 people that rely on its help every year.

Pease sign our petition to prevent RAMS closure.

Dear Ministers

We have signed this petition to keep the charity Race Against Multiple Sclerosis open for the hundreds of people in Northern Ireland with Multiple Sclerosis and other incurable health conditions, that rely on its treatment and support services every year.

Following a tragic flood in 2012, through no fault of its own, the charity is in great financial difficulty and will be forced to close its doors come April 2015 unless funding can be secured.

This charity has worked diligently for almost 30 years, successfully supporting the NHS without any financial assistance from statutory bodies.

Now, in its hour of need, we urge Stormont to invest in this vital service before it’s too late.

None of us know what the future holds for us or our loved ones. But without the treatment and support of RAMS, many young people in Northern Ireland with MS and other progressive illnesses, will have difficulty walking, talking, eating, writing and dressing; many will become incontinent, develop problems with their vision, be forced to give up employment and decide to take their own lives.

Act now. You have the power to make a difference.
