As not only surfers, but as fellow citizens among the many people of Ventura, California who take a visit to the beach nearly every day, we feel as if it is essential to keep the beach as clean as possible which is mandatory to maintaining a clean oceanic environment. One of the most efficient ways to reduce trash on the beach is simply by placing more trashcans on the beach which gives many more opportunities to throw away trash and waste, which consequently reduces trash on the beach, creating a clean beach environment. By increasing the number of trashcans, we are not only providing a clean environment for the people of Ventura, but we are also keeping the ocean healthy which is essential in maintaining a safe habitat for marine life.
As a fellow surfer of the many from the iconic surf town of Ventura, the beach is like a second home to us and nobody wants a home filled with trash.
So what's the best thing to do in order to reduce trash in your home? Yes, the answers is trash cans and our beach needs more of them.
Studies show that more trash cans on the beach encourage people to throw away trash because having available trashcans around makes it easier for people to properly dispose of the trash on the beach, therefore opening the door to a cleaner beach as well as ocean.
