Princess and I - The True Ending

Petition for the True Ending for Princess and I
Princess and I branded as the “Most Successful Teen Teleserye” in Philippine television had shown a very promising start. Many loved and were hooked on the fairytale-like series, religiously following it for months. The plot was well thought out and very unique. Fans raved loudly about it on popular social media like twitter and facebook. It turns out that it isn’t just a teen teleserye but a show loved by the whole Filipino family in the country and abroad. The journey of Prince Jao and Princess Areeyah finding true love COULD have been the greatest love story ever told.

However, as beautiful as the beginning and the progression of the show was, the ending was unexpectedly as horrible. It took a drastic erroneous twist in the last few weeks and many viewers still couldn’t get over how it happened and are still disturbed by it.

Comments of disappointments, frustrations, heartaches, and cries for sense spread like wildfire over the internet by general viewers and avid fans alike. Their passionate dissatisfaction cannot be shushed and pacified. They cry for justice for the show that they have loved and taken pride in.

Like a precious diamond, with an intricate cut and rare clarity, it shone so beautifully. The viewers anticipated for it to crown a golden ring where it rightfully belongs, instead it ended up adorning brass. It was beyond unacceptable.

We want to request that True Story and ending of Princess and I, as it was originally written and planned for by the writers be produced as either (a) 1-month prime time run or (b)2-hr Sunday's Best special for two Sundays to show the following:

1. Areeyah's admittance/profession of her feelings for Jao
2. Areeyah's recognition and realization of what happened to Jao as victim of his mother
3. Jao's reconciliation of his anger and love for Areeyah, and reconciliation of their differences to work together for Yangdon
4. Peaceful resolution of the East-West conflict with Jao and Areeyah uniting the kingdom
5. Gino's acceptance of Mikay's true and constant feelings and his decision to  move to America to heal wounds.
