TransCanada: Drop Your Ridiculous Keystone XL Lawsuit

TransCanada is suing the Obama administration and is filing a claim under NAFTA, because of the recent rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline rejection. Opponents are calling the move a "corporate temper tantrum". By starting this law suit TransCanada is trying to use its corporate power to influence government to support their earth-destroying bottom line.

Obama's administration took a bold stance when it rejected the Keystone XL pipeline. The move was essential to the global view that the time of unfettered oil consumption needs to come to an end. It also reflected the wide spread view of the American people that they no longer wanted massive infrastructure built for dirty tarsands oil.

By signing today you are sending a message to the people at TransCanada that the people's desire to address climate change is stronger than corporate profit.

We, the undersigned, call upon you to drop the lawsuit against the Obama administration for the rejecction of the Keystone XL pipeline. We believe that this move is unjustified and unnecessary.

We agree that it is imperative that companies like TransCanada start focussing on alternate forms of energy creation instead of investing in further pipelines from the tarsands in Alberta.

We urge you to do the responsible action for the planet and drop the lawsuit against the Obama administration.
