Urge the Saint Gobain. To Stop operation in PY

Title: Urge multinational corporation Saint-Gobain Group to stop contaminating the air and water in Paraguay
The Saint-Gobain Group, a huge multinational corporation with main offices in Courbevoie, France, is owner of the manufacturing company Archer S.A. located near the city of Altos and Loma Grande, Paraguay. Archer S.A. started operations in the year 2017 and manufactures Silicon Carbide in a semi-rural area that is close to nearby towns, farmland and pristine forests and streams where people live on eco-tourism and farming.
Ever since Archer S.A. started production of Silicon Carbide, nearby inhabitants have complained of the terrible stench from the gases emitted from the factory and stated that many of them have gotten sick and that their animals have died due to the toxic gases. Local farmers that produce organic products have now lost their certification due to the contaminants coming from the Archer plant.
Due to the increasing complaints by the local inhabitants to the city districts and the SEAM (Paraguay's Department of the Environment), the nearby town mayor of Loma Grande has ordered the temporary closure of the Archer plant until the necessary investigations are done to determine what is occurring at the plant. All indicates that the Archer plant is working without the required equipment to reduce all contaminants to the environment and this could be a major health issue.
As a country that signed the Paris Agreement to reduce gas emissions and effects on the environment, France and its corporations should be among the most environmentally friendly. As such, the Saint-Gobain Group should live up to its own words as a corporation that has a commitment towards protecting the environment and limit its environmental impacts in Paraguay and other countries.
We urge the Saint-Gobain Group should take actions immediately to determine what is causing the contamination in Paraguay by its subsidiary Archer S.A. and take the urgent necessary steps to mend the situation.
Thank you.
