Cosmetic testing on animals is an unecessary torchure.

When products are tested on animals:

-animals are blinded by products when tested for eye irritancy (the Draize eye test)

-they are stripped of fur to test skin reactions

- they are placed in an enclosure where they cannot move, often an enclosure where only their head sticks out.

All of these cause unecessary pain and suffering for what? A new lipstick or makeup.

We, the undersigned ask that the canadian government make cosmetic testing on animals illegal.

We believe that animals should not suffer things such as the Draize eye test, skin irritancy tests or tests for toxicity for cosmetic products since they have absolutely no pragmatic use.

However, they cause great pain to the test animals such as: eye irritation, blindness, skin irritancy, permanant skin damage. All of these come with pain.

This must stop. Cosmetics are NOT more important than naimals and humane value.

Thank you for reading and we hope you will act upon this issue.
