No Rock Left Unturned!

People should sign this petition because it’s time for this Nation to take bigger steps in locating deadbeat parents. As a society we owe it to our children, the future generation of this country to hold absentee parents accountable financially. It is not the responsibility of the government to take care of the countless children who are on assistant programs because of the men and women who intentionally refuse to help financially support their offspring nor should one parent bear all financial responsibilities. Therefore, I am creating a movement called “No Rock Left Unturned" to seek out deadbeat parents who are employed and avoid paying court ordered child support. Second, to hold companies responsible, liable and accountable to uphold the 1996 law "Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act" within their new hire application process. Third, to create stricter sanctions and penalties on companies that choose to not follow the laws in enacted and on individuals who do not disclose owed court ordered child support information to their employer. For example, if a company does not report an employee through their state's new hire system within the allowed 20 days than the company will be fined $5,000 per person for non- report and another $1,000 for every paycheck that the employee collected or collects until the company reports. The $1,000 would go to the parent who is owed the child support.

There are more single parents in the 21st Century than there has ever been before.  When a parent neglects their responsibility and obligation to their child (ren) the other parent is left to take on both roles (mother and father), including all financial support to ensure their child (ren) have a chance at success and live a comfortable life. However, that is rarely the case for most children whose parent have to rely on public assistance and other government programs just to keep food on the table, housing, and clothing on the back of their children as they struggle to keep a full-time job (typically minimum wage) and if they are lucky they are pursuing an education in hope that one day they can move into a better neighborhood, get off public assistance, and financially provide from their children.

As these single parents struggle daily the other half is absent from any involvement and responsibility in their children's lives while living and working somewhere else and not sending any form of financial support, and perhaps created a new family.

It is time for the laws that are currently in place to get stricter and start turning over rocks that these deadbeat parents are hiding under. It will not only improve the child's economic quality of life also the states.
