Ontario Seniors (and everybody else) are getting the shaft again from the Liberals

Last year the property tax rebate was included in the Trillium benefit to be paid monthly over the year instead of in a lump sum a couple of month are filing a tax return.

This upset a lot of people, especially Seniors, since instead of getting up to 1000.00 bucks they would 1/12th of this for a year. As a result the then finance minister said people would be able to chose for the 2013 return. There was no mention of paying a lump sum over a year later.

Well, that minister Dwight Duncan, was replaced by minister Souza who made the change to pay anyone who requested a lump sum would have to wait until next year. which means I'll get about 65 bucks per month if I choose that or wait for 15 month to get the total of about 800 bucks. I don't remember where he announced it but I've seen nothing in any newspaper or on any TV news channel.

Whenever there's a new election for a Provincial Government I hope that every senior will give them the boot. These guys have wasted enough of our money.

Minister Charles Souza explained changing the payout in a lump sum from July this year to next year in order to increase the full payout to anybody who received   $ 250.00 or less last year to $ 360.00 or less this year. He said this will benefit a lot of people.

What he didn't say was that in order to make that possible anybody who requested a lump sum payout larger than $ 360.00 (up to about $ 1000.00) will now be ignored & made to wait for over a year. So millions of senior members will be penalized in order for the Liberal party to brag that they're helping the tax payer.

They'll do anything, including wasting billions of dollars in order to get re-elected.
