Preach politics(?) You must PAY your TAXES! No more violating the Johnson Amendment

In order to keep a lucrative tax exempt status as a 501(c)3 non-profit entity; that entity cannot engage in politics. Specifically they cannot endorse a candidate or legislation & they cannot as an organization oppose a candidate or piece of legislation.

Yet we all see flagrant violations by both unknown and well known televangelist, pundits & religious leaders. If the weight & "will of God" is put behind or against a certain person or legislative act; it clearly manipulates that group or congregation to act in favor of their church or organizations preferences.

We see the real world consequences daily in the attacks on the rights of basic citizenship for women, POC & the LGBTQIA+ communities

The blatant use of "divine retribution" to punish those who do not follow a certain deity or dogma has divided this country & utterly obliterated others. The volatility of the "My God is better than your God" conflict is a old as any other conflict in human history. Also it may very well be the reason for the highest number of unnatural deaths in our shared history as well.

The good news ~ there is a remedy
The Johnson Amendment of 1954 forbids this organizational behavior & violators LOSE their tax exempt status.

Previously the IRS was unable to enforce this vital law which preserves our political processes from scripture based manipulation for profit.

Recently the IRS was granted extensive funding which will allow them to hire enforcement agents for the most complex & lengthy battles against the 1% ers, churches & non-religious based non-profit organizations.

Your signature & comment along with those of your fellow Americans will go to the head of enforcement for the IRS. We must tell them this is a national security threat that only they can fight & we need them to devote the resources to do this immediately.

Once violators see the consequences & loss of cold hard cash, we can begin to take back our country's integrity. We also get to kick the teeth out of those trying to take a bite out of your rights as an American citizen.
