No more smoking in B/CS parks

Parks have been created to be enjoyed by all. We are very lucky to have many parks in our cities to visit. The amount of litter in such parks is a disgrace. Much of the waste is in the form of cigarette butts. Apparently the litter laws are very ineffective in stopping this problem in our city. Perhaps banning cigarette smoking in public parks would help.

More importantly, I hate to see people smoking in front of children. Clearly parks, especially ones with play grounds, have been created with kids in mind. Why pollute their lungs unnecessarily? Second hand smoke smells bad and has been proven to be harmful to children. Why would you allow it at a park and not a bar? This makes no sense.
