Petco Needs Changes.

With this petition I hope to see changes made by the Petco Corporation, which include getting them to listen to customer's complaints and to take them more seriously, to get them to change their standards on what care is provided to all of the pets including reptiles and aquatics, and to also take complaints against their employees more seriously and punish the employees who intentionally harm the animals rather than just giving them a slap on the wrist. I would also ask that they ensure they are hiring people who care about the animals they are working with and to also properly train the employees on the care the animals need. Another change I would like to see put in place is for them to have an isolation room for all of the sick animals where the animals are given the necessary care to become well again not just left to die. These changes are not only important to us as pet owners and investors, but it is also very important to the animals. These animals are being treated badly by store employees that do not honestly care about them or their needs, and it is important to us as pet owners and investors because we see how badly they are cared for and want to resuce them from these conditions and we end up putting money into an animal that might possibly be sick, on the verge of passing away, stressed or traumatized from the conditions they were held in.

Petco seems to not care about the animals they sell but only care about the money they make off of the animals. Also Petco does not properly educate their employees about the health and welfare of these animals. I have spoken with Petco Corperate office employees several times and each time they tell me they do not educate or train their new employees on the proper care of these animals. I have also talked to some employees at different Petco locations and they have told me they don't care about most of the animals and reptiles they work with on a daily basis.
