End sexist dress code in Henry County Schools

I have observed, and personally experienced, an extremely strict and sexist dress code in my school (Magna Vista High School). The female students are not allowed to wear: leggings, jeans with rips above the knee, skirts/shorts that are higher than 5 inches above the knee, shirts that expose their shoulders/waist line/cleavage, or visible bra straps. The male students are only told not to sag their pants/show their underwear or wear anything with profanity/gang references/offensive language on it. It's also VERY obvious to myself and other students that the administration at my school picks who they want to dress code, whether it meets the code or not. For instance, i got pulled aside yesterday for wearing a skirt that not only met dress code, but I have worn it to school multiple times without getting told to change or anything; yet just about everyday I see female students having conversations with administrators while wearing things clearly out of dress code without getting a second glance. I encourage everyone to sign this petition to finally change the sexist rules our school district enforces. To finally start treating male and female students equally. Because at this point, it has become personal, especially when the administration decides to choose who they want to punish for breaking the dress code. No one should be able to tell a woman, man, or anyone what to put on THEIR body.
