The Red-necked Phalarope is small, cracefull and often swimming bird. The spill is very thin. When it is in summer ”clothing” it has rust coloured spot on the throat; the autums bird is light colouring. The nest is on a hummock surrounded by water or a plant raft. The nest is ”decorated” with dry grass and leaves. It leaves the brooding and chicks to the male to take care. This bird also again is nesting in Lapland; all the birds prefere the pure nature.
