Outdoor refrigerated ice arena

As some of you may be aware, the city of Cambridge will be losing it's one and only ice rink after this winter. This outdoor rink is where many residents first learned to skate, play hockey, broom ball, etc.

The city currently has plans to build one outdoor, refrigerated rink (with plans to add a second sheet) that would be operational next winter. This is phase one of a complex that will include a warming house, tennis courts and a skateboard park in the near future.

The City Council of Cambridge will be voting on plans to move forward with phase one of this project at the January 5th meeting. Please sign this petition to show support for this project so we can help it become a reality.

Also, let the City Council members know if you would be willing to volunteer your time and/or expertise into physically helping with this project. As we have done in the past, this may include concrete work, putting up boards, help build bathroom/ concession stand, etc.
