Change the Offensive Carolina Panthers Name

Whereas the mascot of the Carolina Panthers is an increasingly offensive term and image and racially charged,

Whereas It is the namesake of a racist organization who incites riots and participates in a perpetual campaign of race baiting, violence and hate,

Whereas It is offensive to its players, visitors to the City of Charlotte, fans of the organization and fans of the NFL,

We hereby decree and agree that It is racially charged based on the events of the past several years involving the New Black Panther Party who have revealed and perpetuate an increasing racial hatred and bias that is not acceptable in present day America,

Therefore, we hereby demand that The Carolina Panthers change their name to show that the city and organization will not tolerate and do not support such groups as the New Black Panther Party. 

Be it resolved by consent herein, the name is a constant reminder of the hatred and violence embodied by a racist group and any association between the NFL, the City of Charlotte, The State of North Carolina, The NFL Players Association and the National Football League, whether actual or percieved, should be terminated immediately.
