Sign in Opposition to the Seal Hunter Video Game

Two fishermen and supporters of the Norwegian seal hunt created a video game called "Seal Hunter." This gruesome game allows the player to shoot seals as they come into the screen, splattering blood all over the play area.

The seal hunt is a cruel and brutal practice, and we certainly shouldn't be promoting it with things like video games. The creators of the game claim that they are supporting fishermen: "Two fishermen choose to take matters into their own hands to make sure no seal or other creature harming the fishing industry ever reach the ocean."

Seals have coexisted with fish in the oceans for thousands of years! This is just a lazy excuse for the damage of over-fishing, as there is no scientific evidence that seals are the reason for low fish populations.

This kind of disrespect for the lives of seals is despicable. Please sign today to tell the creators of this game that you think it is wrong and want them to take it off the internet!

Dear creators of Seal Hunter,

As a signer of this petition, I am extremely opposed to the video game that you have created. The seal hunt is not a joke. It is a disgusting abuse of defenseless animals.

I don't know how anyone can so flippantly portray the killing of innocent animals in the first place, but the fact that the seal hunt disproportionately targets innocent seal pups makes it that much more upsetting.

It is irresponsible to over-fish an area and then brutally kill off predators in order to compensate. Many wildlife experts have said that the biggest predator to fish like cod is other fish, and seals help keep those fish in check.

Please take this brutal and inappropriate video game off the internet as soon as possible.
