Countless employees for Sports Direct have been found to be working in grinding conditions, constantly under threat of being sacked for talking, being unwell or using the toilet too slowly. Many have also been paid illegally low wages.
Billionaire Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley is getting off very lightly, despite the extensive mistreatment he has profited from. The agreed backpay he now must provide employees doesn't help agency workers, or provided any compensation for those who have been abused.
