Increase PayPal services in Tanzania

PayPal is the safer, easier way to pay and get paid online. The service allows anyone to pay in any way they prefer without sharing financial information.

PayPal has quickly become a global leader in online payment solutions with more than 153 million accounts worldwide. Available in 190 markets and 24 currencies around the world, PayPal enables global e-commerce by making payments possible across different locations, currencies, and languages.

While Tanzania is one of the countries that is supported by PayPal, the company allows only one service in Tanzania and that is the ability to send money. This means that a Tanzanian with a PayPal account cannot receive money. So Tanzanians can buy things from online shopping sites like EBay or Amazon but they cannot sell anything.

PayPal generally extends only this one "sending money" service in new countries that join its network. But Tanzania has been a member of PayPal for many years and many of our neighboring countries like Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, all have the "send" and "receive" services available to them. So why not Tanzania? It is a growing economy with a large market.

This is a petition to request PayPal to start their "receiving money" services in Tanzania as well. Please sign it and ask all your friends and family to sign it as well. If we can get enough supporters, maybe we can convince PayPal to start this service in Tanzania.
