Lavinia Wood - not in my hospital - Ward!

We are both Sixth-form students aspiring to study medicine at university and are firm believers of justice, equality, charity and ethics – especially ethics and morals in medicine
.
After coming across the story of Lavina WoodWard - which may be found here; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-39947017 . We both were absolutely horrified and felt we had to take a stand.

This is breaking of the law. Full stop. Thus, she should be convicted and no human should be assaulted ever, especially in the manner she had done. No excuses – a future doctor or even any normal individuals morals should be stronger than the horrid behavior shown.

Are there different rules here? What message does this send out?

A ' one off' could have been fatal. A crime is a crime.

Would it that the outcome had been different if she was of a different race, a different class or it was her boyfriend that attacked her?

We do not wish to let her work in an area where she is a risk to others. She is not to be protected and, Oxford nor the Law should be protecting this student because of her privilege, status and future. Justice must be served.

Please join us to take a stand!

Jasmine Limbu & Jasmin Khanom
