The Eye for an Eye Act: Justice for Antonio

  • recipient: TO GET THE DEATH PENALTY FOR AMEILIA DISTASIO
Recently a woman, a mother of 4 year old, Antonio Distasio, killed her son Antonio by bounding him, suffocating him, and burning him alive, in a bathtub and was caught fleeing the scene of the crime after smoke was seen coming from their apartment. Witnesses say they heard him begging and pleading his mother to stop what she was doing before the fire trucks arrived. Since this took place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the woman, Ameilia Distasio, only faces; Life in Prison, if found guilty, do to the fact that Wisconsin has not honored the death penalty since 1853. I would like to petition in this case and cases such as this, where the victim was a child and unable to defend him or herself, and died in a cruel or unusual way, and i would like to fight for these abused children especially Antonio, who lost his life in such a heinous way that the only means of justice can be by reinstating the death penalty in Wisconsin, and or other states that simply do not have sufficient punishment in these types of cases. Because the death penalty was abolished here in 1853, I know we have our work cut out for us, but i do believe 100% wholeheartedly that victims such as young Antonio, deserve to have their lives make more of an impact on the American Justice System and that their life should be met with the life of their abuser's. (As it says in the bible) An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a burn for a burn, a wound for a wound and a life for a life. We owe it to him and these young children to at least try and fight for them when and where they cannot, and by doing so maybe we can once and for all, put an end to child abuse and murder for good. (In God we trust).
