Ban Heavy Trucks on Windsor Place

Windsor Place, between Stanley and 8th Ave is in very bad and unsafe condition. This is due to regular use by semi trucks with trailers on a residential street. First, its a safety issue for passenger cars. There have been many near miss collisions between the large trucks and cars. Trucks turning from Windsor Place to 8th Ave and from 8th Ave to Windsor Place are too long for that intersection and have to make very wide turns. Vehicles often must back up so trucks can complete the turn. Trucks will also turn into oncoming traffic and complete their turn on a red light. Second, its a pavement issue. These large trucks are not meant for residential streets and they tear up the pavement. It causes much wear and tear on passenger cars, costing local residents money to repair vehicles.

Ensure you include your address.

We, the undersigned, want the City of Fort Worth:
1) to ban heavy trucks from using Windsor Place primarily for safety; banning trucks will make the intersection safer and cause less impact on the pavement;
2) to repair and better maintain Windsor Place from Stanley Ave to 8th Ave, including potholes on 8th Ave.
