On September 11, 2001, America was attacked and nearly 3,000 innocent men, women, children, and rescue dogs perished as they searched for survivors. Now twelve years later, Americans still are called to a somber and heart-wrenching memory of that event.  It is an American tragedy that is unprecedented.  History will remember this day in books, but we should seek to remember it forever.  The motto "NEVER FORGET" is posted on every social media available with pictures of Ground Zero and videos and photoraphs of those who died.  If you believe The United States of America should formally recognize this day as one to remember and reflect upon, then please sign this petition and ask the leaders of this great nation to give a day of honor and respect to those who perished, those who helped to rescue, and those who are left to remember their loved ones forever.  All of America came together to mourn.  Let us take one 24 hour day to remember and come together as a nation.  "NEVER FORGET".
