Demand the Taiwanese Government Recognize Siraya Tribe's Rights

The Siraya people of Taiwan are one of the oldest people residing in Taiwan. Dutch records as early as the 1600s describe their contact with the tribe who resided in the plains. The name Taiwan even comes from the Siraya language. However, the national government refuses to recognize the tribe denying the people indigenous rights to land and autonomy listed under the UN's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People. By signing this petition, you show your support for the Siraya people and our mission to be recognized by Taiwan as an indigenous people.
