Boycott Future Oscar Award Ceremonies

The ongoing influence of politics in the awards show, coupled with the unprofessionalism of all those involved in the 2015 Oscars has made all Americans wary of future showings of the awards. The use of the awards to push certain leftist ideas is wrong and shouldn't be allowed. The Oscars (Formerly known as The Academy Awards) has been a long standing tradition in the movie business to show recognition to actors, directors, and musicians. In recent history it has became more of a spectacle, being used to award or punish certain people for their political views (I.E. the American Sniper snub). Signing this petition simply states that we will not view the awards as long as they continue to use it as a political platform to push their elitist, liberal, and immoral views. The unprofessionalism of the announcers, and those responsible for the content of the 2015 Oscars is appalling and should not be allowed by an organization that is supposed to remain impartial to everything but the content of nominated films. Hollywood has too much influence to allow them to state their political views in any way (innuendo or not), and raises concerns on the validity and fairness of the process. Americans nationwide are disgusted by the actions of the show and will not tolerate their inability to discern the difference between art and politics.
