Urge Spokane Valley, WA to Paint New Bike Lanes on Newly Paved Wide Roads

  • by: Eric Talaska
  • recipient: The City of Spokane Valley, Washington

The City of Spokane Valley failed to install new bike lanes during re-paving in the year 2014! No excuses!

This poses a big threat to the community in many major ways:

1) Safety hazard for bicyclists.
2) No bike lanes discourages more environmentally friendly transportation and promotes more vehicle congestion.
3) No bike lanes discourages people from becoming more healthy by riding bikes, putting a larger strain on the healthcare system.
4) No bike lanes means the area doesn't attract more enlightened, healthy people to relocate here.

Please call the city at (509) 921-1000 and email them requesting they paint bike lanes.

Once the city paints new bike lanes, I will reverse this post by changing the title to "Spokane Valley Paints New Bike Lanes" and will upload photos of the bike lanes.
