STOP top card making company CARD-FACTORY using UNSUSTAINABLE WOOD FIBRE FROM TROPICAL FORESTS!

  • by: Daniel Burt

We tested a small selection of cards from three of the UK’s best-known card retailers – Paperchase, Clintons & Card Factory. The lab results showed that some of them contained fibres from 'mixed tropical hardwoods'. Of the three retailers, one, Paperchase, seems able to provide evidence that their product was from a sustainable source.
Mixed tropical hardwoods come from fast-disappearing natural forests in places like South East Asia. Home to endangered animals like orang-utans and tigers, they're under threat from illegal and destructive logging. If irresponsibly sourced wood from these forests is making its way into our UK shops, we need to stop it.
