Shoppers in major supermarkets should be aware when Halal meat is being sold and the implications for animal welfare.

Did you know that the letters HMA mean Halal Monitoring Authority on meat sold in UK supermarkets? It means the animal was not stunned, had its throat slit and was then hung up while its blood and life force drained away, literally. This is Halal slaughter and it is creeping in insidiously into UK Abattoirs.......if you are against this please tell your supermarkets in writing......give them feedback
