League has existed for about 9 years now and has been targeted for a both a casual and competitive audience for around the same time frame. But an essential part of any competitive game is proper communication between teammates. League lacks that essential communication that is voice chat. League has pings and text chat but nothing can replace the simplicity and efficacy of talking, and being able to communicate quickly can be the difference between winning and losing a game. As well overall skill and Macro knowledge would increase across the board as knowledge would be easily transferred though chatting. Which in turn should increase the overall skill and experience of competitive LCS as the current gap between pro and challenger players is immense but getting a feel for team play will help lessen the gap between pros and the rest of the community. Playing a game with insufficient communication can feel frustrating and make you not want to play. Adding voice chat is in your best interest.
