STOP! Hurting Kids With Disabilities!

On behalf of the Coastal Bend Rock 'n Roll Celebration Committee and the undersign supporter, we want the Legislature of State of Texas and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to immediately STOP! ALL pursuits of budget cuts to medical programs servicing children with disabilities. Of critical concern is the projected $260 milion cut in Medicaid payments to the state's therapy program to our neediest children.An additional $130 million is planned on being cut due to medical policy reductions. These careless and inhuman cuts in medical services could affect more than 60,000 children who absolutely require home-based "medically necessary services" throughout Texas!

The most vulnerable children, adults and families have suffered needlessly since the Texas Governor, supported by a majority of the Texas legislature REFUSED Federal government financial support for expanded Medicaid services. Children with spina bifida and cerebral palsy should NOT have to suffer due to the short-sightedness of Texas' leadership!

Please help our children with their ongoing therapies which enable them to increase their mobility, improve their abilities to breath, and also gives them access to whealchairs and other needs. STOP! STOP Hurting children with disabilities!
