Lawrence County Tennessee has been held hostage at the grip of a small group of people going by the name of The Animal Welfare League.
The president- Jessica Smith Mayfield Yokley has been charged and convicted on numerous times over the years for theft of animals, forgery, slander and more.
she was proven in court by a handwriting expert and the vet involved that she changed documents for a court case! She also wore a badge she purchased online in an attempt to bully citizens telling them if they don't sign papers relinquishing ownership to her that they can be arrested and lose everything.
Her league will gang up on social media and relentless attack their victims- they do not help nor educate the public as they claim.
They do the same to any other animal rescue groups in this county including but not limited to The Humane Society of Lawrence County, The Animal Control facility and ACO, City Police Chief, & Asst Police Chief , local Veterinarians, private fosters, volunteers of the afore mentioned groups.
She owes thousands in damages to the last one to take her to court, yet sets up gofundme accounts and is always soliciting the public for funds for "animal care".
she charges pet owners absurd amounts to get their dogs back that she stole!
