STOP Ethiopia represnting africa at UN security council

We are outraged and angry that Ethiopia, the most brutal and inhumane regime in Africa is honoured to represent Africa in one of the most important seats at United Nations.
This is hugely disappointing, and will undermine the role of the UN and will damage the trust that the people have on the UN and it’s missions in Africa.
Ethiopian people are under tyrannical rule, the regime uses lethal and unnecessary force to silence even the slightest critics journalists and students, this is fact is verified by all major human rights fighters, including but not limited to Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International.
1 in a rigged and comically staged elections, Ethiopia’s ruling party coalition won all (yes ALL) 547 parliamentary seats in the 2015 elections, due to the lack of space for critical voices. the other country where this kind of amazing electoral success is possible is North Korea.
2 Ethiopian security forces have killed more than 400 protesters and others, and arrested tens of thousands more during widespread protests in the Oromia region since November 2015.
3 The federal police and military have also arrested tens of thousands of students, teachers, musicians, opposition politicians, health workers, and people who provided assistance or shelter to fleeing students.
4 Ethiopia arbitrarily arrests all political opposition figures, this is even admitted by UN inspectors.
5 Ethiopia tortures all political detainees and any one participating in a peaceful protest will be shot dead, any one who is arrested will be subject to inhumane treatment whilst in regime custody.
Instead of honouring the Ethiopian regime to represent Africa at the UN we call for the international community to take action and to stop the killing and the dehumanisation that has been going on in Ethiopia for so many years these crimes against humanity the regime has been going on for so many years. Anything less, is adding an insult to injury.
We are disgusted by the decision to award Ethiopia the Africa seat at UN security council
We think it is grave mistake and African people deserve better.
We call for the United Kingdom government to do everything it can to stop this from happening.
