Helping nightlife venues in London city to stay open.

The Goal. Support London's pubs and clubs by helping nightlife venues in the city to stay open.

The Problem. An increase in taxation to some businesses in London has left some of the city's most popular nightlife venues facing financial pressure. The tax, known as business rates, was increased significantly for some businesses in the city, with certain nightlife venues seeing increases of as much as 60%.

Clubs and Venues in the most popular nightlife areas like Camden, Soho and Leicester square could face closure if the pressure of the increased rated becomes too much. Iconic London venues like Kensington roof gardens have already closed because of 'a lack of profits'.

The Solution. The preservation of London's nightlife industry is of utmost importance for a number of reasons. Not only does it provide a great outlet for the people of London, it also creates jobs and boosts the economy. In order to help support London nightlife, business rates must be reduced.
