Remove Mei From Overwatch

We all know the new Blizzard hit Overwatch, and for the most part it is a 10/10 game with fun characters, amazing gameplay and visuals. But out of all the fun destruction and, abnormally large behinds, there lies a cancer within the game, yes I'm talking of course about Mei.

Mei is a defensive hero in Overwatch who has the ability to freeze players in their tracks literally within seconds, people all over the internet have claimed they have found counters to her but when it comes to stopping Mei or shutting her down, there is just no doing so. She excels at taking out all defense, offense and some tank heros, even McCree (although maybe not bastion) the fact of the matter is there is just no stopping her! Once she has even started to freeze you, there is just no hope for whatever hero you are, even if your a tank, and this is only further complimented by her ultimate, the blizzard, which unleashes a aura of freezing where if you get trapped, she is free to pick you and the rest of your team off one by one.

It's also important to acknowledge how obnoxious Mei is in a match all around, you can constantly see friendly Meis blocking the rest of her team off with an ice wall for no reason other than she wants to be annoying, granted this isn't the case with all Mei players as not all of them are this obnoxious. But still, having the ability to block off your entire team in a corridor or a choke point is completely broken! The ice wall was put into the game to block off enemies not your teammates, and teammates should at least be allowed to pass into and out of the ice wall.

She also has another trick up her sleeve which just ruins any chance of countering her. Let's give ourselves a basic scenario, You are McCree and you've ran into a enemy Mei. Both of you have full health but the enemy Mei is slow to realize that you are in range of throwing a stun grenade at her, you quickly press "E" and she is immobilized allowing you to go in for the fan the hammer, which you do so by pressing right click at her at point blank range. She is left at 25 health points due to you missing just one fan the hammer bullet, and just as you are about to unleash the final blow to finish her off she presses shift and gets most of her health back. This time she is quick to react and freezes you as you are forced to watch her slowly charge up her icicle shot to finish you off with a head shot and a quick melee. Now at least in my opinion this doesn't seem like a fair fight at all, sure there is the small chance that McCree could've won if he had been quicker, but when Mei has a invulnerability ability that also regenerates a large chunk of her health, it really just puts the odds in Mei's favor in almost every given fight or situation.

In conclusion, Mei is a cancer on a otherwise amazing and fun game, that clutches games and causes frustration and anger to both enemies and teammates alike. So Blizzard, please don't allow one defense hero to ruin the fun in this game for everyone, Overwatch and it's players deserve to have fun and by including Mei in to your game's existence you are saying you want the exact opposite of that. So I hope the Overwatch community and Blizzard acknowledges this plea to have Mei removed from the game, I hope to see Overwath as the fun and amazing game that it can be without Mei in it.
