The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce has enlisted convicted dog killer Micheal Vick to be their keynote speaker at their "Evening of Champions Event." The fact that they see Vick as a "champion" makes a mockery of the many innocent dogs that suffered immeasurably in his hands, and that he personally abused to cause extreme pain and death.
In the words of Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Harvey Schmitt "Mr. Vick has lead an interesting life."
Interesting??? Is taking a premediated and deliberate path to cause innocent dogs to die, helpless dogs to scream in pain, and abused dogs to be ripped apart, and to do such illegal and heinous acts repeatedly considered by Mr. Schmitt as "interesting?" This is outrageous!!!
Further, the fact that Vick's NFL noteriety has helped engender the proliferation of this heartbreaking and horrific practice nationwide is tragic for the dogs and for anyone with a heart.
The chamber clearly doesn't care about the death of so many dogs - but I do guarantee - they care about money. So, sign this peition to BOYCOTT VACATION OR BUSINESS TRAVEL TO RALEIGH, NC. Maybe if it hits their bank account - they will understand that many dead dogs DO MATTER to people with a heart!!!!
