Demand that Karlee Ironside be held appropriatly accountable for her actions!!!

Karlee Ironside, 24, was driving in Surfers Paradise on October 19 after taking Xanax and meth when she got her car stuck on the tram tracks.

She tried to do a runner but was detained by a security guard and drug tested by police, who noticed she was slurring her word and unsteady on her feet.

In the Southport Magistrates Court this morning Ironside pleaded guilty to charges of driving under the influence of a drug, unlicensed driving, and the possession of drugs, a pipe and a knife.

Solicitor Campbell MacCallum said his client wanted to leave the Gold Coast and take up a fulltime position with the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles.

He asked that no conviction be recorded to allow her to get a work visa.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable Saloshini Chetty said she was seeking $1624 in restitution to cover damage to the tram tracks.

Magistrate Brian Kucks said she was fortunate to be standing court after driving on drugs rather than in a hospital or in a morgue.

He ordered that Ironside pay $1624 in restitution, fined her $2150 and suspended her licence for 13 months.

If it were another person we would have got a conviction, possible jail time and a much bigger fine to pay.

This is not justice for the community, this is not setting an example to others ready to get behind the wheel whilst intoxicated and under the influence of drugs!!

Let her pay the consequences for her actions like any other non-law abiding citizens.

Karlee claims her reckless actions are primarily because of the crowd she is around... What kind of crowd does she think she is going to be around when she hits the Playboy Mansion in the US... More drugs and alcohol!

Please tell me if I'm the only person that has a problem here, because this is not acceptable!
