Urgent. Parrot of Pippi Longstocking movie taka tukaland must not be put to sleep.

Douglas is unable to fly but is otherwise healthy and to be killed because of bureaucratic arbitrariness.

46 years, this adaptation of the classic children's book by Astrid Lindgren now old. The parrot, who played Rosalind's name is Douglas is male and is still alive. His retirement he spends in a small tropical house in Malmö, Sweden. But with the rest it's over now, because the bureaucracy wants the 49 years old bird on the collar.

The Swedish Board of Agriculture Office considers that the three-square-foot cage where Douglas lives with the same age Parrot Lady Gojan, is too small. The birds could not fly in it and would need an aviary of at least 30 square meters. If this is not possible, the birds would have to be put down.

It can be determined found an alternative for Douglas. However, to kill him is not.

It is determined not only my memory of my childhood when I see the parrot. Many people around the world remember this parrot, who starred in the film by Astrid Lindgren. The parrot has become older than many of his peers, and I ask you for this beautiful memory of my and to sign other so Douglas may live. And time will create for him an alternative life.
