Religion creates antagonism, not freedom
Religion creates antagonists period. People against people, community against community, holy war and jihad, the gallows next to the church as a warning for the non believers. The 'missionaries' of past, present and most likely future, could not accept and cannot accept that people already have a set of rules and regulations, based on natural laws or on a philosophy that they do not necessarily share.
They had to change people they found, living in and with nature, into Catholics, protestant Christians, Jews, Muslims or members of other denominations. This made the next village and its inhabitants the enemy, or the next people and its members, to be killed in the name of a god they do not even understand.
Of course they do not understand, the pastors, priests and imams take very good care that the people do not understand, so they can control them. And that is the purpose of religion, control.
I want all people to be free from control by any religion, slavery had been abolished!
