I Am a mother of 3, I am outraged that most public High Schools in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and upper hunter have no or little air conditions for our children, I have gathered statistics on schools in our region, only to find that less then 5% have air conditioning in the library and staff/office rooms. Also most private and catholic schools do have this essential requirement. This is not good enough! It's causing destruction, behaviour problems and in some cases health conditions to the point children are passing out, suffering heat stroke and are having breathing difficulties. Please sign this and share any crucial information you may have regarding cases of your child's education being effected by this.
