Please help the Yezidi children that have survived the barbaric genocide by IS

Dear Angelina Jolie,

First of all, let me thank you for your presence in this world. Thank you for your movies but also for the humbleness and the humanity that you have carried out during your carrier.

My dear friend,

I am writing to you, since I believe you are one of the few, who can hear and listen to me. I am a doctor and I want to share with you what I have witnessed during nearly two months that I did spend amongst the Yezidi people in northern Iraq. The few Yezidis that managed to escape away from the genocide that started on the 3rd of august 2014 are now facing a natural catastrophy. These Yezidis are living in tents inside camps, but also in schools, parks and on the streets. There are no tiny empty space left. The empty spaces have become their homes. As winter is closing in, they are left with only rags on their back. There are those victims, who are suffering from various diseases such as epilepsy. Due to lack of money they can’t afford to buy the treatment, that is needed. Which now put them in very dangerous bearings. I personally have observed some horrific situations during my stay there, that is far beyond the human mind to comprehend.

The Yezidis are an ancient people who have encountered many genocides through out history. This is the 74th genocide. Their simplicity and pureness and not believing in killing have brought their existence to this day.

Dear friend,

I have followed your carrier, your amazing way of thinking and how you look at humanity. You are an inspiration source not only for me but many like me. I want to remind you of your motives for joining UNHCR;

"We cannot close ourselves off to information and ignore the fact that millions of people are out there suffering. I honestly want to help. I don't believe I feel differently from other people. I think we all want justice and equality, a chance for a life with meaning. All of us would like to believe that if we were in a bad situation someone would help us."

Now I am asking you as a friend in helping these people in need. I am asking you on behalf of all the Yezidis that needs shelter and the love of the human race. Please do not let these people down. They have lost everything they had, above all their loved ones that have been taken and robbed from them by force. They have to live knowing that they will never again see their brother, their sister, their daughter, their father and their mother. Many children have become orphans not knowing what is happening around them. They need a helping hand in these frightful times.

Kind Regards

Dr Hawar Moradi
