Demand a community pharmacy with PBS approval at Parkwood Family Medical Centre

We draw the attention of you Honourable Health Minister to the great inconvenience suffered by the patients of Parkwood Family Medical Centre and the suburb of Parkwood by the current deficit in PBS approval at the pharmacy at Parkwood Family Amcal Chemist. In particular, without a PBS approval in this 7 day, late night medical precinct, patients that require PBS subsidised medication are unable to have potential urgent and life saving medications immediately. There is extremely limited access after-hours to pharmacies throughout the Gold Coast and patients who visit the medical precinct are current at a significant loss.
This situation has lead to a number of elderly patients being left without PBS medicine and are therefore unable to start their treatments. To ensure fair and equitable access to PBS medicine for all Parkwood patients, this issue must be rectified.
