Grandparent Alienation laws need to be changed! it is abuse to the child and the grandparent!

Grandparents play a huge role in their grandchildren's lives, especially if the children were very involved with their grandparents. My granddaughter lived with me, along with her mom and dad, for almost 3 years! Visits continued and were abruptly stopped in February, 2014. For no reason other then, mom felt that since dad did not want to be involved with his daughter anymore then, his entire family should be erased from my Granddaughter's life. There was not a goodbye, not a last kiss and hug, only a promise from mom that visits would continue. She promised both khloe and I, that we would see each other again, anytime. It has been proven time and again by child psychologists that children suffer throughout their lives, feelings of depression, abandonment issues, anxiety, possible drug use when they are alienated from their family. Why allow these children to suffer? Why take chances with a child's future? Why allow the alienated family to suffer? Keep the family ties strong, so as to help avoid children from experiencing this abuse. Abuse is what it is.
