Humans are more valuable than diamonds and other jewels

In our back-to-front, upside-down world precious minerals, jewels and stones are prized more highly than the rights of human beings to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If such stones or gold are found in an area where indigenous people have lived simple and happy live's for 1,000s of years, there is never any doubt which will be regarded as more important : the wealth of the objects. From now on this must change, so that people are protected regardless of the value of the jewels to those in the rich world. In any event the value of these objects is totally artificial : they have no value in themselves, just that which the wealthy decide upon. Mighty corporations and wealthy countries must not be allowed to destroy people and their way's of life.
