Ontario, Stop Backing Away From Climate Change Initiatives!

Ontario's environmental watchdog claims that the province will meet its 2014 target thanks to phasing out coal, but environmental commissioner Gord Miller disagrees. Besides shutting coal plants to generate electricity, Ontario has done little to reduce the pollution responsible for climate change.

Miller is concerned that Ontario has cut its initial target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles by nearly 80 percent. He believes that unless Ontario does more to address pollution from cars and trucks, the province's environment will suffer extreme consequences.

Ontario seems to have lost its motivation to curb climate change, but closing coal factories isn't enough. Please sign the petition to urge Ontario to stop backing away from climate change initiatives!

We, the undersigned, are concerned with Ontario's apparent lack of concern regarding climate change.
