Mandate Safety Standards for Submersibles and Prosecute/penalize Oceangate Inc.

As someone who has always been fascinated by the ocean and its mysteries, I was devastated to hear about the tragic deaths of five passengers aboard Oceangate Inc.'s submersible "Titan". It is even more disheartening to learn that this incident could have been prevented if proper safety standards were in place.

For years, Oceangate has ignored warnings from experts regarding the safety of their submersible. Former employees were even terminated when they raised concerns about safety. This kind of negligence is unacceptable and should not be tolerated.

I am petitioning the United States government to mandate safety standards for all submersibles built in this country. Similar to what aviation has done, we need regulations in place that prioritize passenger safety above all else.

Furthermore, I believe that Oceangate Inc. should be penalized and prosecuted for their actions that led to the deaths of five people. They cannot be allowed to continue operating without consequences for their unethical practices.

It is time for us as a society to prioritize human life over profit margins. We cannot allow companies like Oceangate Inc. to cut corners when it comes to passenger safety. Let's come together and demand change so that tragedies like this never happen again.

Sign this petition if you believe in holding companies accountable for their actions and ensuring that proper safety measures are put in place for all submersibles built in the United States.
