Depleted Uranium is a radioactive substance that will never break down completely with a half life of 4.5 billion years. Upon invading Iraq, they used these radioactive bullets whimsically and the aftermath was terrible. The radioactivity caused defects and severe malformations on the newborns of Iraqi soldiers. In southern iraq, mothers don't ask if their newborn is a boy or a girl, they ask if it's normal. Leukemia rates in children and adults have skyrocketed since the beginning of the war.
