More Roads, Less Houses

Traffic in Riverside County has reached to the point where it's an issue for everyone. The average parent, high school student, elderly citizen, blue and white collar worker would agree that traffic is a problem now for whenever these individuals need to reach their everyday destinations; work, school, medical appointments, and even social gatherings. The factor to blame in this issue is the sharp and alarming increase in population. Where did all these people come from? It's a simple question to answer.
The surrounding areas of Los Angeles, San Bernadino, and San Diego have chased away chunks of its population. And those chunks have been attracted to Riverside County these past 2 year. However, this influx in the population is because of the fact that we keep on building homes and apartments in our cities rather than roads to attract those who want to leave the city. But, when these people left the city, they brought the city traffic to Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Hemet, and Lake Elsinore.
The solution is this, stop construction for housing in 2017 and focus on road building. This will help prevent further traffic violations imposed by people in a rush to get their destinations. Plus, better attendance records in schools if we build more roads and revamp our current ones. At my school, I'm in a class with 28 other students and there has been not one day where there has been at least 4 people tardy and the excuse has been traffic. I've dealt with this myself. If things keep on going the way it is, our traffic will be compared to LA and San Diego's within 2 years. And it'll be no matter what time you leave and how far the distance is, you will likely be late to wherever you're going. I urge the city councils of Riverside County to take this issue seriously.
