Reject the application for a mobile phone mast in Westcombe Hill/Siebert Road

Vodafone/CTIL have submitted plans to the Royal Borough of Greenwich Council to erect a 12.5m mobile mast and base station in Westcombe Hill/Siebert Road.

The proposed location of the mast is on the boundary of the Westcombe Park Conservation Area, less than 30m from the MEFA Montessori School and Nursery, less 70m from the Greenwich Steiner School site at St George's Church, and 140m from Invicta Primary School's playground.

The application can be found here.

The reference of the application is 16/3089/T3

Tell Royal Greenwich we don't want a mobile mast so close to local schools and childcare facilities, and on the edge of our conservation area.

Objections must be lodged by 9th November.

I had hoped there would be no need to update this page again. Today Vodafone's contractors turned up ready to build the mast. Fortunately, a group of us were able to stop them. However, we need to get in touch with the council's planning team and ask them what on earth is going on. I've called 8 times today but am none the wiser... I'll update on any news. Meanwhile the planning team's number is 0208 921 5442 or 0208 921 5494. We don't want this mast!

Royal Greenwich has refused permission to erect the mast.

Vodafone/CTIL can appeal the decision within six months but I hope they won't..!
All the best,
Nathalie

Thanks so much for signing! Please do keep sharing to raise awareness.

We all need object on the Council's website to be heard directly by the decision makers on the Planning Team and the Planning Committee.

This petition doesn't hold as much weight as individual objections.

Thanks again for supporting,
Nathalie
