Ticketmaster has never been my favorite source to purchase tickets to events as their fees are beyond outrageous. The unfortunate thing is, if you want to see a show with a mainstream, pop act, you have NO other choice but to purchase tickets through them.
It's no mystery to anyone that I'm a huge Justin Timberlake fan. Of course, I want to go to the 'Man of the Woods' show. Of course, I'm going to spend $25 extra for access to the pre-sale codes to increase my odds of having access to tickets. In the span of one week, I have been through TWO ticket sales for the 5/27 show. Yes, two. The pre-sale codes did not work. They did nothing more than tempt me with tickets that were never available for me to purchase in the first place as they continually 'errored' when I tried to purchase.
Absolutely NO ticket options were available to me today, from the 2 seconds after the sales went live until an hour later.
I get it. Pre-Sale codes don't guarantee sales. Not everyone who goes online gets tickets. But, I have a HUGE issue with the tickets I'm trying to purchase, as a fan of the music, are IMMEDIATELY available for re-sale.
I fully believe that Ticketmaster is involved in pulling tickets for sale to the general public and listing them as a re-sale. I also believe that Ticketmaster is paid far too much in additional ticket fees to not have a system that runs flawlessly, or has the ability to track and block the bots out there buying all of the tickets up for grabs.
I hope you'll join me in making Ticketmaster accountable in getting the tickets to the fans of the music. Far too many other, equally as popular acts have made this possible. It's time for the corporation to stop taking advantage of the public and perform the only task they exist for.
