Justice for 2 mini horses run over and left to die!

On April 15th, 2017, approximately 2am my mini horses were struck by a Drunk Driver who smashed through their corral and quickly drove straight through and out the other side.  Their injuries were so severe they had to be euthanized.  One of the horses "Big Red" was hit so hard that his little body was laying outside of the corral and he clearly had broken legs and most likely internal injuries as well.  He laid their terrified and suffering for a long period of time before the veterinarian arrived to put him down.  The other horse had been struck as well and as I had hope that he was going to make it, my hope was short lived as the vet told me that he had a broken leg and also had to be euthanized.

My heart sank; I can’t even describe the devastation I was feeling.  I have so much love for my horses and my heart is truly broken.  My family and this community have been shaken to the core over this senseless act of cruelty.  My horses were not just animals, but a big part of my family.

Although the driver had left the scene to avoid responsibility, he was arrested and taken into custody a short time later for DUI.

These defenseless animals didn’t deserve this!  Ronald Rennert’s horrific actions and crime committed that morning deserve stricter felony charges and not just misdemeanor DUI, misdemeanor Hit & Run and misdemeanor Property Damage.  They consider my horses just "Damaged Property"  Really??

Any animal cruelty, death or animal abuse should be given the same charges as if it was a live, breathing family member.  Please sign this petition and let’s get justice for Big Red and Scout.  Thank you!
